The former nursing home of Sint-Jozef at the Kortrijksesteenweg in Petegem (near Deinze) has been given a thorough facelift. A new passage connects the existing building with the newly built one.
After two years of hard work the first residents of the residential care centre moved to the new wing in February. A number of rooms and some communal areas provide a great view of the scenic Lys river and the yacht basin of Deinze. The passage between the existing and new building has been beautifully decorated by Stief Desmet, an artist born and bred in Deinze. He had the idea to put local historic scenes and figures on the wallpaper.
Haelvoet furnished the rooms in the new building with Olympia Soft beds and Basso bedside tables. The communal areas and sitting areas, on the other hand, were furnished by us with Tonio seats and Square (coffee) tables.
