Brand-new hospital in Lodelinsart with Haelvoet furniture

The largest move CHU Charleroi has ever known took place last week.

A team of 1,200 people moved more than 250 patients and material from the old hôpital civil in the centre of Charleroi to the new site in Lodelinsart. The Walloon quality newspaper Le Soir, among others, ran a feature on this large-scale project, in which the Haelvoet products got a nice place in the flashlights.

Fourteen years ago, the ISPPC (l'intercommunale de santé publique du pays de Charleroi) decided to build a new and ultramodern hospital in the region of Charleroi. After many years of consulting, planning, and (road) building the “hôpital civil Marie Curie” opened its doors to the public last week. The new Minister of Public Health, Maggie De Block, paid a visit to the site, and she saw it was good.
The ISPPC management opted for a completely new interior of the rooms in the hospital. Haelvoet delivered several products, among which some 600 Ilana bedside tables and just as many Fero relax chairs, bariatric- and hydraulic beds and children cots to this prestigious project.
